Vice President-elect Harris is safe, aide says

The Office of the Vice President-elect will not comment on the whereabouts of Kamala Harris, but add that she is “safe,” according to a Harris aide.
She was set to attend the Electoral College vote certification this afternoon on Capitol Hill.

If Democrats win both of Tuesday’s Georgia runoffs, the parties will split the Senate 50-50, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris serving as the tiebreaker ― creating a much greater chance that legislation President-elect Joe Biden supports will pass Congress and reach his desk.
On the other hand, if Republicans hold on to even one of the seats, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) ― who notoriously blocked legislation during Barack Obama’s administration ― will continue serving as majority leader with his party in control of the chamber.

There s no denying 2020 was a challenging year. Despite the year s difficulties, there were still some bright spots. For many families, that bright spot was welcoming a new baby into the world.
Now that 2020 has finally come to an end, BabyCenter was able to reveal the most popular baby names from 2020. Though there were plenty of news stories about pandemic-related baby names last year, none of them managed to land a top ten spot. While 2020 was certainly a unique year, the most popular baby names largely remained classic staples. For example, Sophia remained the most popular name for baby girls for the 11the year in a row. On the boys side, Liam held on to the top spot for the second year in a row.

On Monday, we discussed the potential outcomes of the Georgia Senate races and what it means for the US Dollar. With Democratic candidates Raphael Warncok and Jon Ossoff winning the elections, the Senate is now split 50/50, which means any votes in the Senate that are tied will be decided by Vice President-elect Harris. This will give Democrats control of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House. In the short-term, the US Dollar should continue lower. President-elect Joe Biden is loo
