Meggitt Awarded $27 4 million Liquid Palletized System Contract from the US Navy

Posted on FAIRFORD, UK – JUL 13, 2018: US Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol plane on the tarmac of RAF Fairford airbase. Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specializing in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and selected energy markets, has been awarded a follow-on, fixed-price contract valued at $27.4 million by the Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, for the supply of thirty two liquid palletized cooling units for the P-8A aircraft. This consolidates a solid year of defence sales for Meggitt PLC. The contract will be supplied by Meggitt’s specialist defence division in Irvine, California, and directly supports the P-8A aircraft, with follow-on awards anticipated for future lots and spares. Meggitt provides several other thermal management products for the P-8A and other military-airborne platforms around the world.
