Quang Binh asked to improve business environment to lure more investors Quang Binh should give greater attention to administrative reform as well as e-government and smart city building, thus creating a transparent and open business environment to lure more investors, stated Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung at the central province’s investment promotion conference on January 18. Lauding efforts of the locality in holding the event, the Deputy PM asked ministries and sectors to assist Quang Binh in restructuring and developing the industrial sector and implementing major projects. He reminded investors and businesses to speed up disbursement of investment capital and focus more on environmental protection and corporate social responsibility.

The Hai Van 2 road tunnel inaugurated On January 11, at the southern tunnel entrance of Da Nang City, the investor - Deo Ca Investment Joint Stock Company of Deo Ca Group - cooperated with the Ministry of Transport, and the localities of Thua Thien Hue Province, and Da Nang City to hold the inauguration ceremony of the Hai Van 2 road tunnel. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, and leaders of the Ministry of Transport attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. From Thua Thien Hue Province, Mr. Le Truong Luu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People s Committee attended the ceremony.

With multiple technological and financial solutions, the group raked in 1.52 trillion VND (65.98 million USD) in profit in 2020, exceeding the set target, and contributed 27.8 trillion VND to the State budget, the Deputy PM said in his remarks at a meeting in Hanoi. Longest road tunnel in Southeast Asia open to traffic

Monday, 19:59, 11/01/2021 The Hai Van Tunnel 2 - the longest road tunnel in Southeast Asia and linking central Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang city – was open to traffic on January 11. The Hai Van Tunnel 2 is open to traffic on January 11. At the opening ceremony Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said the tunnel is a major project using the most complicated technology in Vietnam. It will help boost socio-economic development and ensure the defence and security of the key central economic region, and ensure better connectivity and foster development in the central and Central Highlands regions and the country as a whole.
