A petition to get the shock jock banned from Australia has been signed by over 21,000 people. When we reported on her rant last night, it had just 8,000 signatures.
If the Australian Border Force does find that she is breaching hotel quarantine, they may, under the Biosecurity Act 2015, deport her and ban her from the country.
It’s worth noting here that if they don’t have concrete evidence and the Department of Home Affairs still deports Katie Hopkins on the basis of her character, it legitimises a shady process. What that would do is potentially allow the government to do the same to others. Well, you know, to someone who didn’t once allegedly compare migrants to cockroaches and claim that dementia patients were taking up space in hospitals. Literally, what the fuck.

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has left open the prospect of agreeing to a 2050 net zero carbon emissions pledge but insists such a move would depend on the cost.
Likening the National Party’s choice on whether to support Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s direction on climate policy to ordering a meal without asking the price, Mr Joyce said he would consider a more ambitious policy once he knew the cost.
“What turns up is sauteed gherkins and sashimi tadpoles – they’ll accept anything for lunch,” says Barnaby Joyce of Labor’s climate policy.

Hopkins, who recently flew to Sydney ahead of her appearance on Seven s all-star season of Big Brother, caused public backlash over the weekend after claiming she was planning to deliberately flout restrictions while staying in hotel quarantine.
At 5am on Saturday, Hopkins took to Instagram live to post a speech where she called out the lockdowns in Sydney and Melbourne.
During the video, Hopkins openly mocked the 14-day hotel quarantine rules revealing she planned to deliberately break them by opening her door completely naked and mask-free to workers who deliver her food. The police officer who checked me in told me, when they knock on my door I have to wait 30 seconds until I can open the door, she says while breaking out into hysterics. I can open the door but I can only do it in a face mask.
She also said she had been deliberately trying to defy hotel quarantine rules, by opening the door to hotel quarantine staff…naked.
Now, Channel Seven has decided to terminate her contract, according to The Guardian. This decision is in line with an out-clause in Hopkins’ contract with Channel Seven that says talent should not bring the network into disrepute. It also asks that overseas personalities comply with visa conditions.
“Seven Network and Endemol Shine Australia confirm that Katie Hopkins is not part of
Big Brother VIP,” Channel Seven in a statement on Sunday.
“Seven and Endemol Shine strongly condemn her irresponsible and reckless comments in hotel quarantine.”

Big Brother VIP, according to Australian media, then posted a video on Instagram joking about answering the door naked and without a mask to people delivering meals while she was in hotel quarantine.
Under the rules of Australia s mandatory two-week hotel quarantine for international arrivals to stop the spread of Covid-19, people must put on a mask before meals are delivered then wait 30 seconds to collect the food to avoid transmission.
The video was later removed from the image-sharing platform, but Australian lawmakers said they were investigating whether Hopkins s visa should remain valid.
