Biden s plan to fight domestic terror will mark shift from Trump

Biden’s plan to fight domestic terror will mark shift from Trump The Biden administration will release its highly anticipated national strategy for fighting domestic terrorists in the coming weeks, the White House announced Tuesday, signaling a major break from President Donald Trump’s administration in addressing more directly the threats posed by White supremacists and right-wing militia groups. The expected release of the strategy comes after the White House said Tuesday that it has completed a sweeping assessment of the threat posed by domestic violent extremism, an issue that took on new urgency after the January 6 assault on the Capitol by supporters of Trump who were trying to overturn President Joe Biden’s election victory.
