The Mayor of Carlow-Mayo Township is now the Deputy Warden of Hastings County.
Mayor Bonnie Adams was elected on January 28th during county council. Adams says that she will work with Warden Rick Philips to uphold the values of Hastings County.
The Deputy Warden position was created this year to complement the position of Warden. The County says that with the Warden tasked with making so many appearances, they felt a second position should be created. Adams will serve two years as Deputy Warden.

Municipality of Trent Hills Mayor Bob Crate was sworn in today as 2021 Warden for Northumberland County. Warden Crate served as the County’s first Deputy Warden throughout 2020. County Council voted unanimously in favour of his nomination for the role of Warden at the November meeting of Council.
“It is an honor to accept the nomination of my Council colleagues for the position of Northumberland County Warden for 2021, and to join the ranks of community members who have stepped into public service and taken on this leadership role to make a difference in their community,” stated Warden Crate. “We have many priorities to tackle in the year ahead.
