View Comments
The makeup of Bremerton’s city council could look very different next year, with five of the council’s seven positions up for election in November, plus a newly appointed member representing District 4.
District 3 has drawn the most candidates for any single city council position in Kitsap County this year, with seven Bremerton residents aiming to replace outgoing council president Kevin Gorman, who is not running for reelection. District 3 covers downtown Bremerton and Manette.
Melissa Watkinson, Craig Houston, John Johanson, Johannes Schonberg, Jeff Campbell, Jeff Coughlin and Jim McDonald will vie for the spot in Aug. 3 primary. The top two candidates will advance to the general election this fall.
