Anne-Marie s embarrassing music taste
BANG Showbiz 16/01/2021 Bang Showbiz Mr Blobby was Anne-Marie s first record.
The 29-year-old singer/songwriter admitted the novelty song by the character Mr Blobby was the first record she ever bought for herself, along with Brian Hyland s Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini .
She told British GQ: Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini on tape and also Mr Blobby . That was when I was really young. Then, later, my dad got me Jagged Little Pill on CD from a charity shop. That was it. I was in love with Alanis Morissette, in love with music. My dad played music every day. He’d work such long hours, so his freedom would be coming home and banging in the music really loud. Seeing his joy in it made me interested in why it made him so happy. I really concentrated on what Morissette was saying in the lyrics.
The back catalog dealsâwhich have seen
Neil Young selling all or part of their catalogs to other companiesârepresent the music industryâs latest pivot to a new revenue stream, as the pandemic continues to cancel tours, and streaming services take their well-documented bite out of record sales. It means audiences will be more likely to hear classic songs feature in major ad campaigns and see more movies like
Bohemian Rhapsody or
Jagged Little Pill that draw on a collection of a classic artistâs work.
On Wednesday, Primary Wave indicated their commitment to back catalogs by announcing the hiring of

The Worst Is Over
BiPolarPoet (5 out of 5 stars) Jamie Blake has been one of my favorite female artists since her self-titled debut album came out in 1997. that album really was a gem of an album that didnt get the recognition it greatly deserved (listen to Runaway, Worst Is Over, Whisper Too Loud, Coming Down, etc.) although a couple of her songs got some radio play it wasnt enough to catapult her into the star that she deserves to be. her album had everything a great album needed to have like writing, catchy pop/rock tunes, heartfelt lyrics, and a very sincere songstress.
