Dubai: Dubai Police have arrested a young motorist who was endangering the lives of other road users by driving recklessly during a police chase.
According to Dubai Police, the 21-year-old driver, identified as A.A, failed to comply with police instructions. The arrest took place in cooperation with Sharjah Police.
According to Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, the driver, who has a criminal record, was referred to Dubai Public Prosecution for legal action. “Dubai Police will not tolerate violators who endanger people’s lives, and those who refuse to comply with police orders,” said Major Gen Al Mansouri in statement.

Security guards on trial in absentia for stealing equipment and tools from construction company they worked for.
Two security guards are on trial in absentia for stealing equipment and tools worth more than Dh1million from the company they worked for in Dubai.
Documents of Dubai Public Prosecution dated the case back to November 10, 2019, when the two Asians, who are currently on the run, were working in a construction company as security guards.
One fine day, the two security guards aged 26 and 37, failed to show up at work, and when a company official called them on the phone, it was switched off. On visiting the site, it came to light that equipment worth of Dh1,156,550 was missing from the site.

The Dubai Public Prosecution based on a default judgement referred two Asian security guards to criminal court for stealing equipment worth over Dhs1.1 million from a company in Dubai.
Official records indicate that the construction company’s head of security had noticed the long absence of the two defendants, who he tried to contact but their numbers were switched off.
He headed to the site assigned for them to guard and discovered that the place was robbed of all equipment.
The company’s legal advisor investigated to track the defendants’ whereabouts, and found out that they had fled the country 10 days before the robbery was discovered.
African gang snatches bag containing Dhs125,000 from Asian employee in Dubai

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred an African gang of 7 men to criminal court for robbing an Asian employee of Dhs125,000.
In January last year the victim filed a robbery report and testified that after withdrawing money from a bank, he was followed by a gang who attacked and robbed him.
According to his testimony, the victim withdrew Dhs110,000 and put it inside his bag which already contained Dhs15,000, 4 checkbooks, a passport and a phone.
He then drove to a nearby shopping mall, and was suddenly approached by two of the defendants in the parking lot.

The Dubai Police have linked some buried weapons discovered in a remote area to a homicide case by analysing tool marks examined in the victim s bones and cartilage.
Major General Dr Ahmad Eid Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Forensics and Criminology at Dubai Police, said they were able to provide reliable evidence for the Dubai Public Prosecution to proceed with the adjudication.
“The successful application of micro-CT tool mark analysis reflects, once again, Dubai Police’s keenness on keeping pace with the latest scientific advances across all fields and utilising available technologies in the policing work,” Al Mansouri said.
