At around 10.40pm yesterday (February 8), the victim, a 24-year-old man, was walking along Mill End Road. As he got to the junction with Dashwood Avenue, a man approached him from behind and held a knife to his face, while another man searched through his pockets. The pair were interrupted by a vehicle driving past, and the victim managed to get away without having anything stolen. Police said he did not suffer serious injuries but had a few minor cuts to his face. The first attacker is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall and wearing a dark hooded jumper at the time of the attack.
