UPDATE: CPD confirms 1 shot on Treeland Court in Clarksville

Update, 11:10 a.m.: Clarksville Police Detective Michael Patterson confirmed that a shooting occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday morning in the 300 block of Treeland Court. One individual was shot and taken to the hospital, Patterson said in a news release. His condition is unknown at this time. Patterson added that contact has been made with the other individual that was involved in the incident, and that there is no threat to the public. No further information has been released. Update: Police said they are looking for Warren Joshua Broomer. Anyone who sees him should call 911, according to Patterson. Police have not said why they are looking for Broomer. He’s reportedly a Black male with short hair who was wearing a long-sleeved red shirt, black pants and clear glasses. Mother charged with murder, child abuse after 2-month-old dies of head injuries

Clarksville Now CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A 19-year-old woman was arrested Friday after the grand jury returned indictments for first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse and neglect for the death of her 2-month-old child in January. On Jan. 9, Whitney Brown’s 2-month-old child was transported to Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville. According to a news release from Clarksville Police spokesman Detective Michael Patterson, the child was unresponsive and had a head injury. The child was then taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, and approximately three days later the child passed away from the injuries, the news release said.

3 men charged in 2017 cold case homicide on Chapel Street in Clarksville

Ray Charles Nelson, 53, was shot and killed near 140 Chapel St. on Nov. 10, 2017. After a Clarksville Police investigation, three men were charged recently with premeditated first-degree murder: Zemarcus Shatwan Ligon, who was taken into custody Sunday. Antonio Nathan Bafford, who was already in jail. Ramone Pierre Gholston, who was already in jail. Gholston was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The shooting That day in 2017, a shots fired call came in around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Ray Charles Nelson, who had been shot. He was transported by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare’s emergency room, where he died from his injuries.
