An 18-wheeler collided with a freight train Tuesday morning in Cameron, Texas, Fox News reported.
The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BSNF) train was carrying mixed freight when it derailed near the town of Hoyte, Texas, Fox News reported. The 18-wheeler hit the train, “which impacted a [train] car carrying gasoline,” Courtney Wallace, BSNF railways senior director of external communications, told Fox News. The crash resulted in a large explosion, and the Cameron Police Department said it has declared the ongoing incident a hazmat situation, according to Fox News.

CAMERON, Texas A train collided with an 18-wheeler outside Cameron, Texas, on Tuesday morning. The train, which was carrying oil tankers, exploded as a result of the crash, and authorities have labeled the collision a hazmat situation, according to the Cameron Police Department.
