What the couple may not have expected was that the few words would turn into a rambling monologue of personal grievance, self-justification, and fulminations about domestic and global politics.
Dressed in a tuxedo and standing in front of the waiting wedding band, the club’s owner departed from the usual pleasantries about the happy couple, embarking on a tirade about China, Iran and border control – ‘… the border’s not good…’ – and a rant about the election result – ‘We did get 75 million votes. Nobody’s ever gotten that’ – before remembering at the last moment to mention the ‘great and beautiful’ couple whose wedding it was.

Allen Weisselberg has been removed by the Trump Organization from officer positions of its subsidiaries after he and the company were indicted on 15 charges, including tax fraud and grand larceny.
