Members of the U.S. House of Representatives are expected to vote to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from all committees later today. The public vote to remove the congresswoman emerged from a conversation between Reps. Kevin McCarthy and Steny Hoyer. Once it became clear that the GOP would not remove the congresswoman from all committees, House Democrats ignited the push to remove the Georgia lawmaker from both of the committees she serves on.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and his Democratic counterpart Steny Hoyer deadlocked over how to proceed with Greene, amid a raging debate about her inflammatory words and support of offensive social media posts.
