LONDON â CHI Saint Joseph Health has announced that it will be transitioning to an internal electronic health record (EHR) system that provides a more robust user-friendly experience for patients, caregivers and providers, and improves patient experience for accessing medical records through the patient portal.Â
CHI Saint Joseph Health hospitals, clinics and physician offices will begin the transition to the Epic system in January. EHR platforms are used by health care facilities to collect and store patient data and health information in a digital format.Â

The Saint Joseph London Foundation recently recognized the 2021 Physician of the Year award recipient and 2021 Advanced Practice Clinician of the Year award. John Abe, MD, of Lexington, who specializes in electrophysiology/cardiology, was presented with the 2021 Physician of the Year award, and Scott Caddell, of Jellico, Tenn., physician assistant (PA-C), was named the facilityâs 2021 Advanced Practice Clinician of the Year during a virtual ceremony.
Dr. Abe, of CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group â Cardiology in London, was nominated by Brady Dale, director of Ancillary Services at Saint Joseph London.
