A Connecticut man was killed and three others seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash.
Blanchard Baisden, age 39, of East Hartford, was killed around 12:27 a.m., Sunday, April 25, during a crash in the area of Fraser Pace in Hartford, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police.
According to Boisvert, when officers arrived on the scene they found a gray 2003 Nissan Pathfinder had crashed into the rear end of a parked, unoccupied, semi-tractor trailer.
Baisden, the driver, was pronounced dead on the scene, he said.
A 36-year-old female passenger was transported to Hartford Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Two additional passengers of the Nissan, a 38-year-old male, and a 39-year-old male were transported to the Saint Francis Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

CONNECTICUT Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford has been ranked among the nation s best teaching hospitals in the Fortune/IBM Watson Health s latest ranking.
The rankings released Tuesday show Saint Francis Hospital taking the No. 14 spot among best teaching hospitals.
In all, IBM Watson Health ranked the top 40 teaching hospitals and top 60 community hospitals based on Medicare cost reports, other data from Medicare providers, and patient satisfaction data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, according to the rankings methodology.
