Drafting of revised National Litigation Policy underway: Centre informs Delhi HC ANI | Updated: Jan 13, 2021 15:03 IST
New Delhi [India], January 13 (ANI): The Central government on Wednesday told the Delhi High court that drafting of the revised National Litigation Policy (NLP) is underway.
NLP wasformulated by the Ministry of Law and Justice to bring down the litigation from government agencies by making them more responsible in filing cases.
On being informed by the counsel appearing for the Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma of the revised policy, a Division Bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh adjourned the matter for February 12.

MoCI wins Best Legal Affairs Department Award

Doha: The Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) won for the second time the Best Legal Affairs Department (Large Team) Award for the year 2020, in the framework of the fifth annual Qatar Business Law Forum Awards ceremony, which was held on December 9 through video conferencing.
The Ministry is the strategic partner of the Forum, which has witnessed the participation of many government agencies, departments and professional institutions related to Business Law.
The fifth annual Qatar Business Law Forum Awards ceremony included many competing groups from the government and private sector. The Legal Affairs Department previously won this award in 2018. The prestigious honor was received by Hilal bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, the Director of the Department of Legal Affairs at the Ministry.
