The City of Mombela Local Municipality (CMLM) has paid the first instalment on a payment plan to settle its arrears with Eskom, according to an agreement they had with the energy supplier. Instead of the R140 million they had to pay last week, they paid R160 million, according to Mbombela municipal spokesperson, Joseph Ngala.
