Roberto was only in the Stewart Detention Center for less than a couple of months, but he got COVID-19.
“I couldn’t breathe. I lost my sense of smell, my sense of taste. My chest was hurting,” he says. “I felt like I was gonna get a heart attack. I was afraid to fall asleep.”
Sadruddin Twins Sentenced To 50 Months In Federal Prison For Pikeville Textile Plant, Tarp Frauds Friday, May 7, 2021
Twin brothers Rahim and Karim Sadruddin, 35, were sentenced on Friday to 50 months in federal prison for a fraud involving a touted textile plant for Pikeville that never opened and a scheme selling tarps to the government.
They appeared before Judge Travis McDonough.
As part of the plea agreement filed with the court, the Sadruddins each agreed to plead guilty to an Information charging them with two counts of wire fraud involving a Presidentially declared major disaster and emergency in violation of a section of federal law and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

We learned last week that Essex County will not renew its contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). When you’re in a blue state, under a Biden administration, and both U.S. senators publicly denounce ICE contracts, the optics seem to be aligned with what seems to be the right thing to do.
Illegal Alien Run Over and Killed by Border Patrol Vehicle
KINGSVILLE, TX – On April 29, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., two illegal aliens were run over by a Border Patrol vehicle in Kenedy County near Kingsville, TX. One illegal alien, a male Honduran national, died on the scene as a result of his injuries. Another illegal alien was transferred to a hospital in Harlingen via air ambulance and was discharged later in the day after medical personnel determined he did not suffer any serious injuries.
At the time of the incident, Border Patrol Agents were patrolling an area known for smuggling activity when they observed fresh footprints believed to belong to illegal aliens passing through the area. Agents on foot and in vehicles continued to search the area which was covered with extremely thick and tall grass interspersed with groves of taller vegetation.
