Over 400 large, medium, small & micro units are expected to participate in the event planned for March 19 to 21 at Chennai
Swatantra Foundation, a Chennai-based institution devoted to policy research and advocacy, jointly with the Aerospace Industry Development Association of Tamil Nadu, which focuses on the aerospace & Defence ecosystem development in the State, will organise the Defence Expo Empowering MSME 21 event in Chennai from March 19 to 21.
Over 400 large, medium, small & micro units are expected to participate in the event to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre. The objective of the expo is to unlock this potential in favour of Indian industries and empower the MSMEs.

New Delhi, Jan 18 : Two years after taking over the case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR in the Kanpur defence recruitment scam, officials said on Monday.
The case has been filed against Santosh Kumar Tiwari, Deputy Controller in the Material Division of the Controllerate of Quality Assurance CQA(M), who was the presiding officer of the recruitment board and beneficiaries Ravi Kant Pandey, Utkarsh Srivatsava, Arti Gupta, Pratibha Mishra and Arpit Singh and other unknown persons.

The theme of webinar was “Exploring Synergies and Strengthening Defence Cooperation with Nepal”.
It was organized under the aegis of Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence through SIDM.
This webinar is the part of Aero India 21 series of webinars which are being organized to boost defence cooperation and engagements with friendly foreign countries and achieve defence export target of $5 billion in the next five years.
Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India Kathmandu; Anurag Bajpai, Joint Secretary (DIP), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India; Ram Prasad Acharya, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Govt of Nepal and other senior MoD officials from both sides participated in the webinar.
