AU Commissioner Assures AFL of More Support | Liberian Observer

AU and AFL officials The newly-elected Commissioner of the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the African Union, Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, has assured the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) of Liberia’s participation in both Peace Support Operation and Military Support Operation of the African Union (AU) once the new structure comes into force, in July 2021. According to a Ministry of Defense press statement, the Commissioner gave the assurance when Liberia’s Military Attaché and Permanent Representative to the African Union Commission (AUC) and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Colonel Davidson F. Forleh, paid him a courtesy call.

The main objective of the COSP II is to consolidate progress made since the first COSP and to foster cooperation and solidarity among State Parties in the implementation of the Charter. Share: May 04, 2021 At an invitation of the Government of Zimbabwe addressed to the African Union Commission, Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security (PAPS), a technical meeting was organized between the Ministry for Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare of Zimbabwe and Department of PAPS (Secretariat of AU-STC No 8) on 23 April 2021 in Harare, Republic of Zimbabwe. The overall objective of the Mission was to make all necessary plans and arrangements towards the successful celebration of the 2021 Africa Public Service Day (APSD), scheduled to take place from 21 to 23 June 2021 in Victoria falls, Zimbabwe.
