SHEBOYGAN - An $8 million improvement project for Interstate 43 in Sheboygan County is slated to start Monday.
Gov. Tony Evers signed a contract to improve the 7.4 miles of I-43 from the southern border of Sheboygan County to Wilson/Lima Road, according to a news release from the Department of Transportation on Thursday.
The project is expected to begin Monday and wrap up at the beginning of September, the news release said. During that time, the highway will remain open to one lane.
A 1.1-mile stretch of State 32 between Main Street in the village of Cedar Grove and I-43 will also be resurfaced. The release said that project will start in late July and be completed by Sept. 2.
