TULSA, Okla. -
The Tulsa County Sheriff s Office is partnering with the Tulsa Police Department for Project Trust, a six-week program with the goal to improve relationships between students and law enforcement.
TCSO Captain Michael Heisten says now more than ever programs like this one are needed to strengthen the bond between communities and law enforcement. Any concerns they have with law enforcement, teach them about what the law enforcement officer does, teach them about some of the training that they go through in order to be a law enforcement officer. Hopefully defeat some fallacies and hopefully have a better understanding about what some of the concerns about from the community as well, said Heisten.
