(News Tribune file / submitted photos) Wes Drummond, whose recent credits include assisting director Matthew Warchus in a production of “A Christmas Carol” that moved from The Old Vic in London to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre in 2019, has been named the Duluth Playhouse s new executive director. Christine Gradl Seitz has been the theater’s executive and artistic director for 21 years. Her plans to retire, announced in August 2019, were sidelined during the pandemic. She will stay with the playhouse through the transition, according to a news release from its board of directors.
