Taiwan Embassy facilitates donation

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines handed over a 40-foot container of donated goods from the SimplyHelp Foundation, to the people and the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on February 1, 2021, through the Ministry of National Mobilisation.
As the two countries continue to share close relation, the Embassy has collaborated with the SimplyHelp Foundation, a U.S.-registered non-profit organization, for five successive years, in assisting St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
A donation of 15,000 antigen rapid tests valued at $300,000 was handed over to the Ministry of Health and Wellness by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Belize. These were handed over on Thursday, January 21, 2021 to the Ministry to enhance their testing capacity as well as to improve the efficiency and timely response. The tests, which were developed by ForaCare, can determine results in as little as fifteen minutes.
Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen handed over the tests during a small ceremony during which C.E.O. Doctor Deysi Mendez shared the government’s appreciation for Taiwan’s assistance.

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis The Ministry of Human Resources in the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has received the call for the Taiwan MOFA and ICDF Scholarships 2021.
Interested persons are encouraged to exploit the opportunities made available by the Taiwan Government to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies. The Taiwan programmes are diversified in leadership and management development; journalism and mass communication; health care administration; cultural and creative industries; aquaculture technology and management; environment sustainable development; and more.
The scholarship benefits include airfare, housing, tuition fees, insurance, textbooks, and monthly allowances. General Application Guidelines:
• One must apply to their preferred university as well as to the Taiwan Embassy in St. Kitts. The university will present a permission slip which must be included with the embassy’s application.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), handed over 14,700pcs Taiwan developed COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Tests to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment here.
The tests were donated by Taiwanese manufacturer TaiDoc Technology Corp. and Fora Care Foundation, and were handed over on January 14.
The donation is expected to strengthen the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ capacity to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic
