Portuguese who miss the 30 June deadline to apply for resident status in the UK post-Brexit risk a hostile environment , the consul-general of Portugal in London, Cristina Pucarinho, warned. We appeal to those who are eligible and have not yet applied for resident status to do so as soon as possible, otherwise on 1 July they could find themselves in an irregular situation in the country and potentially exposed to a hostile environment, said Pucarinho, at the opening of a briefing via Facebook.

Daphne Ahrendt, Senior Research manager at Eurofound, will present the first findings from round three of Eurofound’s e-survey Living, working and COVID-19, fielded in February and March 2021. The LIVE webinar will be an opportunity to explore how EU citizens’ social, employment and economic situation has evolved during one year of closures and restrictions in the wake of COVID-19. For the first time, Daphne will also share findings on EU citizens’ attitudes to vaccines and EU-wide vaccination programmes.
