Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23) announced today five awardees of a grant program aimed at preventing pool and spa drownings and drain entrapments. The state and local governments, selected by CPSC, will receive more than $860,000 in
Pool Safely Grant Program (PSGP) grant funds. This funding will provide the awardees financial assistance for education, training, and enforcement of pool safety requirements that are intended to save lives and prevent serious injuries.

ELMHURST, IL For the third week in a row, Elmhurst has seen a drop in its percentage hike in coronavirus cases, according to the DuPage County Health Department.
As of Sunday, the city had 4,274 cases, an increase of 47 cases from the week before, or a 1.1 percent hike. The previous week, it was 1.3 percent.
The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.

As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst stayed the same in the last week, at 66. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.5 percent.

DARIEN, IL Darien saw yet another drop in its percentage of new coronavirus cases in the last week, according to the DuPage County Health Department.
As of Sunday, Darien had a total of 1,709 coronavirus cases, up 27 from a week before, or a 1.6 percent increase. The previous week, the city saw a 1.9 percent increase in cases.
The city s number of coronavirus deaths increased by one in the last week, to 21. That works out to less than a thousandth of Darien s population.
