The Republican Party of Duval County s Executive Committee has unanimously voted to reelect Dean Black as the county s party chairman.
Although President Donald Trump lost to President-elect Joe Biden 47.3% to 51.1% in Duval County, the GOP had a strong showing in most other races, winning seven out of the eight down-ballot partisan matchups in the county.
The only Democrat outside of Biden to win at the local level was incumbant U.S. Rep. Al Lawson, D-FL5, who beat Gary Adler 66.8% to 33.2% in the heavily Democratic district that stretches west to Tallahassee.
