Published May 2, 2021, 3:20 PM Screenshot from TNC post-match presscon  TNC Predator saw its three-game winning start to the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division end as the Carlo “Kuku” Palad-led T1 pulled off a 2-1 reverse sweep on Saturday night, May 1.  Several Dota fans accused TNC of throwing–in layman’s terms, intentionally losing–the match with the odds, both figuratively and literally, heavily favoring the all-Filipino powerhouse team.  Midlaner Armel “Armel” Tabios just shrugged off the allegations and laughed it off with offlaner Jun “Bok Kanehara.  “Wala eh. Kapag natalo ganun talaga ‘yung ano (comments) eh. Wala ka naman masasabi sa mga tao (It’s just like that when we lose),” said Armel in the post-match press conference streamed through TNC’s Facebook page.

Published April 29, 2021, 4:01 PM Photo from Execration  If there’s someone to commend for Execration’s recent success in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division, it has to be the Filipino Dota veteran Abeng “Abeng” Dicdican.  Execration position-4 support Don Carlo “BDz” Manalo bared that Abeng, a former carry and mid player of Execration back in the 2014-2015 era, is working as the team’s analyst.  On top of that, the legendary player and good friend of Exe coach Kimuel “Kim0” Borromeo Rodis is serving as the motivational speaker for BDz and the crew.  “Having our new analyst is really a good addition for us. He’s the one making the team jel. He’s giving a speech for us and it’s really helpful,” BDz told the PGL panelists following Execration’s 2-0 sweep of Smart Omega on Wednesday night, April 28. 

OB Neon opens DPC Season 2 with a bang, silences Indonesia s Boom

Published April 23, 2021, 3:28 PM Photo from OB x Neon Esports OB x Neon Esports came through with a triumphant debut in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division after dealing Boom Esports of Indonesia its first taste of defeat via a 2-0 sweep on Thursday night, April 22.  11K MMR carry John Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas’ Medusa was just too much to handle for Boom in the opener before the Filipinos subdued the the Indonesians’ Morphling-Earthshaker-Beastmaster trio with Aghanim’s Scepter behind Japoy “Yopaj” Ferrer’s Puck in the second game.  Besides getting the first win, the Singapore Major Top 6 finisher also showed that it has found its groove in the 7.29 patch ahead of its grudge rematch against TNC Predator on Saturday at 3 p.m.
