A wallop of Canadian chill is forecast to burrow deep into the Sunshine State late this week, setting up what could be the coldest Christmas in decades for South Florida.
In West Palm Beach, Friday could dawn with a temperature of 49 degrees rising only to a high of 60 during the day. Saturday will begin even colder with a morning low closer to 40 degrees, but could quickly warm to 65 degrees.
The normal daytime high for Dec. 25 in West Palm Beach is 75 degrees with a normal overnight low of 58.
Wind chill temperatures in the 30s are possible throughout South Florida late Friday into Saturday morning.
