Date Time Police charge woman over loaded gun at Gold Coast A 22-year-old woman has been charged after the alleged discovery of a loaded firearm in a car at Miami last night. Around 6.50pm police were performing proactive patrols when they observed the vehicle parked in the rear carpark of a tavern at Miami with two women acting suspiciously inside. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located a loaded handgun and ammunition in a handbag, more ammunition in the glove box and a collection of drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine and restricted prescription drugs. Nearby in the same carpark police located a second vehicle with two men inside. A subsequent search of that vehicle allegedly located a knife and the drug GHB.
