BOLIVAR, Mo. (WFIE) -University of Southern Indiana Men’s Basketball won a barn burner on the road at Southwest Baptist University, 84-77, Tuesday afternoon in Bolivar, Missouri. USI sees its record to go 4-2 this season, while SBU, who received votes for the NABC Division II Top 25 poll today, ends the afternoon 6-2.
USI started the game with a bang, jumping out to a 9-0 lead by hitting four of their first five field goal attempts in the opening three minutes. SBU got back in the game with a 15-6 rally that tied the score, 15-15, with 13:33 left in the opening stanza.

Governor Mike Parson will be sworn in as Missouri’s 57th Governor this morning.
Today marks Missouri’s Bicentennial Inauguration, as the Show-Me State celebrates 200 years of statehood later this year.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in Jefferson City on the South Lawn of the Capitol building.

To prepare for the upcoming inauguration, a prayer service was held for Gov. Parson in Bolivar over the weekend. Over 100 people gathered at Southwest Baptist University on Saturday to pray with the Parson family.
During the inauguration, other elected officials will also take their oath, such as State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, Attorney General Eric Schmitt, and Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KFVS) - Governor Mike Parson was sworn in as 57th Governor of the State of Missouri at the 2021 Bicentennial Inauguration at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 11.
The ceremony was held on the South Lawn of the Capitol building in Jefferson City.
Judge Sarah A. Castle proceeded over the swearing in of Gov. Parson for a full term.
The Bible used for the ceremony
was a gift given to the governor by First Lady Teresa Parson.
