COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP) has scheduled a quarterly earnings conference call with financial analysts at 9 a.m. ET Thursday, April 22. The call will be broadcast live over the internet at http://www.aep.com/webcasts.
The webcast will include audio of the call as well as visuals of charts and graphics referred to by AEP management during the call.
The call will be archived on http://www.aep.com/webcasts for use by those unable to listen to the live webcast.
With an eye to the future and a move toward clean energy, Southwestern Electric Power Company and Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell announced the beginning of the commercial operation of the Sundance wind farm in Oklahoma.
The 199-megawatt facility is part of the North Central Energy Facilities project in Oklahoma. SWEPCO s Louisiana and Arkansas customers will receive 810 megawatts from the project. SWEPCO s parent company, AEP, has pledged to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2030 and be at net zero by 2050, SWEPCO President and Chief Operating Officer Malcolm Smoak said Thursday. SWEPCO is going to be pursuing more wind and solar energy as part of our and AEP s clean energy future.

First North Central Wind Project Begins Commercial Operation

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 14, 2021 /PRNewswire/ American Electric Power s (Nasdaq: AEP) 199-megawatt (MW) Sundance Wind Energy Center in north central Oklahoma has begun commercial operation. Located in Woods County, Sundance is one of three wind projects that compose the North Central Energy Facilities, which will provide 1,485 MW of clean energy to customers of AEP s Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) and Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) subsidiaries.
Invenergy is developing the North Central Energy Facilities, and PSO and SWEPCO will assume ownership of each of the three wind projects following their commercial operation.
