BREEZY POINT In-person Polar Plunge events kick off Saturday, March 6, in three locations including Breezy Point.
Since 1999, the Polar Plunge has been Special Olympics Minnesota’s biggest fundraiser and ensures thousands of adults and children with intellectual disabilities will be included in their community by way of sports, health initiatives and leadership training. Although things look different this year, Minnesotans across the state are stepping up to take the plunge and support Special Olympics Minnesota, according to a news release.

ARRESTS A 26-year-old woman was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, for driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at Highway 210 and Cypress Drive.
A 60-year-old woman was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Saturday for DWI during a traffic stop at Excelsior Road and Golf Course Drive.
A 40-year-old man was arrested at 6:09 p.m. Feb. 26 for DWI following a suspicious vehicle on the 5600 block of Fairview Road.
THEFT Report at 7:13 p.m. Saturday of a female who ran out of the Westgate Mall, 14136 Baxter Drive, with an arm full of clothing. Officers located the vehicle at Walmart and recovered the stolen merchandise. Police are preparing paperwork for shoplifting charges against a 40-year-old woman to forward to the city prosecutor’s office.
