A former South Australian Labor MP and her husband have been granted bail by an Adelaide court after they were arrested on blackmail charges this morning.
Annabel Digance, 63, and her 60-year-old husband Greg Digance allegedly made threats to the state s current Opposition Leader, Peter Malinauskas.
They were arrested by Major Crime detectives at their home in the Adelaide Hills shortly after 7am today.
They were captured by 9News cameras being driven in separate police cars into the Adelaide Watch House, where they were charged with blackmail.
If found guilty, they face a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment for an aggravated offence.

A senior political advisor to South Australian Labor MP Nat Cook has been arrested and charged with child abuse offences.
The man has been identified as 38-year-old Ben Waters and was arrested after a raid on Parliament House and has been charged with possessing and producing child exploitation material.
Labor MP Nat Cook delivered an emotional response to the press describing herself as “completely sickened and devastated”.
“As soon as I was made aware of the charges, I took immediate action and advised the department of Treasury and Finance and requested that his employment be terminated,” she said.
