Ohio State’s longtime former director of student health services is a focus of the reopened investigation into failed reporting
Faulted for its failure to end systematic sexual abuse by a former Ohio State University team physician, the state medical board in Ohio has reopened 91 sexual assault cases against other doctors and medical professionals in the state, officials said Wednesday.
The State Medical Board of Ohio will also review an additional 42 previously closed sexual assault cases to determine if doctors who might have had knowledge of sexual misconduct failed to report it to the authorities, according to a state task force.

CARBONDALE, Ill. Chicago broadcast journalist Afua Owusu took to heart the lessons learned while an undergraduate student in Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Department of Radio, Television, and Digital Media.
Owusu, a 2005 broadcast journalism graduate, will present the 2021 Marmaduke Lecture Series when she discusses her career and the role of women in the media, particularly in high-ranking posts and on-air positions, during a virtual community discussion at 7 p.m., March 18. WSIU’s Jennifer Fuller, also an SIU program alumna, will facilitate the discussion on the media, news, entertainment and more. Earlier in the day, Owusu will meet with students in a career Q&A session on the future of journalism and the role that Generation Z – anyone born after 1997 – plays in bringing change to the industry.

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Southern Illinois University Carbondale announced it will hold in-person commencement ceremonies to celebrate spring 2021 and 2020 graduates.
The graduation ceremonies will be held outside at Saluki Stadium over a three-day period beginning on Friday, May 7 through Sunday, May 9.
The university plans to hold commencement ceremonies for 2021 graduates on Friday and Saturday.
The School of Law will celebrate 2020 and 2021 classes in one ceremony on Friday.
Graduates of the Class of 2020 are invited to participate in ceremonies on Sunday.
