MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Motorists will soon enjoy a smoother drive as new asphalt is being laid on several Myrtle Beach roadways.
The city of Myrtle Beach announced Monday milling and paving will create a few delays this week.
The schedule for the roadwork this week is as follows, weather permitting:

Tuesday: Louise Drive, from Country Club Drive to Canterbury Lane

A vacant 25-acre site across from an Amazon distribution center in Palatine will be redeveloped under a plan expected to create about 250 jobs.
The site used to house manufacturer Weber-Stephen Products and became vacant in stages, starting in 2018 and ending in late 2019. It comprises the addresses 200-350 E. Daniels Road, 200 S. Hicks Road and 1 S. Sellstrom Drive, and it s bordered to the north by the Union Pacific railroad.
Midwest Industrial Funds plans to redevelop the site into two industrial buildings a westerly building of 275,388 square feet and an easterly building of 153,043 square feet with parking lots and interior truck docks between the buildings.
In a case of mistaken smells, a proposed class-action lawsuit against the IESI Bethlehem Landfill was dismissed when the lead plaintiff testified the smells to which she objected were coming from the Bethlehem Wastewater Treatement Plant.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - About 4:30 a.m on Thursday, patrol officers with Valdosta Police Department (VPD) responded to M&M Food Mart at 900 Melody Lane to investigate an alarm call.
Officers noticed glass had been broken out of the business.
A store manager gave officers video surveillance of the incident and VPD said officers immediately started searching the area for the suspect and the vehicle he left the area in.
At the intersection of South Oak Street and Old Clyattville Road, VPD spotted the suspect, later identified as Michael Morton, 36, standing next to the vehicle that had been seen in the surveillance video leaving the store.
