South Carolina Highway Patrol is reporting a deadly wreck Sunday evening on Highway 38 at Highway 34 in the Brownsville community of Marlboro County.
Sgt. Nick Pye with SCHP says the crash happened just before 5 p.m.
Pye says a pedestrian was hit along the highway by a truck traveling in the northbound lane of Highway 38. Pye says the pedestrian was in the roadway.
Community members said a helicopter landed in the area, but they’re not sure if anyone was airlifted to the hospital.
