About 30 donated stone fruit trees were planted Friday at the Arnaz Program Center in Ventura. The planting coincided with National Arbor Day, which is typically celebrated on the last Friday of April, according to the Arbor Day Foundation. The trees were donated by Southern California Gas Company to the center s orchard, which lies between Casitas Springs and Oak View. Friday s planting is the latest of several updates made to the center, nicknamed Camp Arnaz, which hosts events for the Girl Scouts of California s Central Coast and other community organizations.
