KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The Kansas City, Kansas Public Library will reopen its buildings on March 22.
All of the KCK Public Libraries have been closed, except for curbside pickup services since June 1, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Most services will be available, though safety guidelines will be in place.
Customers who pass a temperature check at the entrance will be allowed 30 minutes to browse materials, seek assistance from staff, and use the computers, according to a press release. They also will be required to wear a mask.

TREES AND CARDS: Various locations are available for people to recycle cut Christmas trees, wrapping paper and greeting cards through Jan. 31.
Cut trees will be collected and reused as natural fish habitat at area lakes. Remove all decorations from the trees. Collection sites available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday include Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road; Canfield Township Fire Department, 5007 Messerly Road; Poland Township Road Department, 7508 Clingan Road; Youngstown CCA (former South Branch Library), 1771 Market St.; and Struthers city will be a curbside pickup collection.
Wrapping paper and greeting cards can be recycled at area drop off sites or with curbside recycling.
La Mesans asked to take police chief survey
La Mesa residents or business owner are asked to give the city feedback on its next chief of police by taking a short survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LMPDChiefofPolice by Dec. 31. This survey is open to residents and business owners within La Mesa only.
COVID-19 testing center now by appointment only
The Chula Vista COVID-19 testing center at the South Branch Library is now by appointment only. It continues to be a drive-up testing site. Everyone in the vehicle must be registered for a testing appointment. This new process is aimed at reducing the waiting time. For other testing sites throughout the county, visit www.211sd.org for a location, schedule and process at each site.
