A six-mile diversion is in place due to closures to the A19 Northbound entry slip road at the A19/A690 junction.
Drivers reminded of closures to the A19 northbound slip road at the A19/A690 junction DRIVERS are reminded of upcoming closures to the A19 Northbound entry slip road at the A19/A690 junction. As part of the ongoing improvements at the A19/A690 junction, the slip road will be closed for two weeks from 7pm on Sunday 31 until 7pm on Sunday February 14. This closure is to allow Sunderland City Council to conduct drainage works at the entry to the A19 northbound entry slip road. Vehicles travelling northbound on the A19 from the A690 will be diverted south on the onto the A19 and then will return northbound on A19 via the Seaham B1404 exit.
