A benefit Saturday to aid a 9-year-old boy in his cancer fight is a community effort.
The Fight Like Kash benefit is in support of Kashton Thomas of Jacksonville, who is battling Stage 2 B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. It will start at 10 a.m. at The Hangout Bar and Grill at 901 W. Superior Ave. and run through the evening. It is open to the public.
Kashton’s mother, Heather Thomas, said Kashton started chemotherapy in May after she discovered a bulge on the side of his face that turned out to be a cancerous tumor.
