“Believe in the Magic of Beef” is a statewide thank you to healthcare workers
The South Dakota Beef Industry Council and healthcare systems are together giving back to our healthcare workers across the state in a holiday thank you campaign.

45 hospitals from the smallest to largest systems including Monument are participating in this $50,000 partnership effort to give back to healthcare workers.
Les Shaw, Promotion Committee Chair for South Dakota Beef Industry Council, says, “There’s no more vital part to our community then the healthcare industry, they kind of take care of us…and so we thought that it was very important for sure to show our gratitude and thank these workers that are just really at their wits end and burning the candle from both ends, and so we just wanted to say thank you and that we are there for you and we support you.”
Yesterday, my daughter and I spent the day at the South Dakota Beef Industry Council’s (SDBIC) annual committee meeting.
We were there to pitch a project idea to the promotions committee, and as always, it was interesting to be part of the process to see the work and decision-making in action and to hear from other potential contractors and learn more about their project proposals that will be considered for the upcoming year.
And proud mom moment my buttons about burst watching my six-year old give her first speech! Next stop, ABC’s “Shark Tank” with hopefully a pitch for a million-dollar business idea that will fund the ranch!
