Police arrested a Southwest Greensburg woman this week, accusing her of providing drugs to a man who later died of an overdose, according to court papers.
Jennifer Lynn Gartland, 45, is charged with drug delivery resulting in death, possession with intent to deliver and child endangerment.
Southwest Greensburg police said they were called to Gartland’s home just before 6 a.m. June 16 and found Richard J. Conti unresponsive, according to court papers. The 47-year-old was taken to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, where he died the next day. Toxicology reports showed that he had a lethal level of fentanyl in his system, police said.

An excavator for Vince Construction Co. of Greensburg removes the debris gutted from a five-story building at South Pennsylvania Avenue and West Second Street in Greensburg, that Westmoreland County Treasurer Jared Squires purchased last year.
Squires has said the renovated building will have a dance studio on the first floor, two office suites on the second floor and apartments on the upper three floors.

About 17 vendors bundled in coats and wearing hats and gloves gathered along South Pennsylvania Avenue in Greensburg Sunday afternoon for the final holiday market of the year.
The event, which featured products ranging from jewelry and soaps to wine and vodka, coincided with the Holiday Open House, in which Greensburg businesses opened their doors for last minute Christmas shoppers and those hoping to support small businesses who may be struggling through the coronavirus pandemic.
