A glow run is an event held during the evening that has entrants wearing clothing items that glow. It’s being used in a couple of weeks as a fundraiser to benefit the Southwestern School District grade schools. Brighton’s Betsey Ann Park will be the start and finish location for the 3
rd annual Glow Run/Walk 5K on May 8
th.
Event organizer Tabi Mitchell tells The Big Z it costs $25 for adults 13 and older, and $15 for youth.

She says the parents in the group were getting tired of selling things as fundraisers, and this is how the idea for the 5K came about.

Citing the challenge of teaching students during the ongoing pandemic, the Pennsylvania Department of Education is allowing school districts to delay state assessment tests until the fall

Dover Area School District and South Eastern School District officials confirmed to The York Dispatch on Monday that they will not delay any state assessments.

Some York County school districts reset COVID-19 data after snow closures

Some school districts in York County have taken a different approach to incorporating snow closures into the way they track COVID-19 cases.
York Suburban School District, South Western School District, Spring Grove Area School District and West Shore School District reset their COVID-19 dashboards Monday to display zero cases across their buildings in the last 14 days following multiple snow days leading into last weekend. Ten other York County school districts still have cases recorded on their dashboards.
Spring Grove Superintendent George Ioannidis said Department of Health officials approved their reset after the district s buildings closed because of snow and were thoroughly cleaned.
