A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a single vehicle crash led to a busy Bristol road being shut.
A WOMAN was flown to hospital to be treated for severe smoke inhalation and burns after being rescued by firefighters from a blaze in her living room. Smoking materials are believed to have sparked the fire, which took hold at a flat in Wollaston Road, Dorchester. Three crews of firefighters - one from Dorchester, one from Weymouth and one from Bridport - attended the scene. A woman in her mid-forties was rescued and given first aid by crews. She was then handed over to South Western Ambulance Service paramedics to be treated for severe smoke inhalation and burns before being flown to Salisbury District Hospital.

Whitehall Road crash: Bristol traffic updates as First Bus services diverted
Police and paramedics are at the scene
A busy Bristol road has been closed after a crash this afternoon (January 6).
Whitehall Road has been shut in both directions with heavy traffic building in the area.

First Bus services are being diverted after the closure near the junction with Carlton Park.
The operator tweeted: Whitehall Road closed due to an accident. Services 6 & 7 diverted via Church Road & Chalks Road in both directions.
According to traffic service Inrix, the road was shut at around 3.40pm and there is heavy traffic in the area.
