Tidal Wave is operating under a temporary permit

The car wash opened in December. Edison Real Estate Three LLC, property owner of the Tidal Wave car wash at 3270 S. Lindbergh Blvd., submitted an amended development plan that changes the lane striping required on the originally approved site plan at the car wash intersection of East Watson Road and South Lindbergh Boulevard. The project was approved in 2018 through a tie-breaker from Mayor Pat Fribis, replacing the derelict Econo Lodge. One condition of approval by the aldermen at that time was reconfiguring the striping on East Watson Road to create a right-turn lane onto Lindbergh Boulevard. But under the plan from aldermen, the traffic lights on the Rott Road side of the intersection would not be properly centered over the traffic lanes. So the lanes were restriped in their current configuration to line up with the mast arm containing the traffic lane.

Neighbors Credit Union will expand its Lindbergh site

Neighbors Credit Union will be expanding its South Lindbergh Boulevard location under plans set to go to the Green Park Board of Aldermen. The Green Park Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval last week for the credit union to update its main two-story building at 6300 S. Lindbergh Blvd.  The Board of Aldermen was scheduled to meet Monday, April 19 after The Call went to press. In addition to the main credit union, Neighbors also owns the lot to the east that contains three multistory buildings at 6220, 6240 and 6260 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The lot is currently zoned Commercial Corridor. If approved, the preliminary site plan allows the credit union to make changes to the two-story foyer in the main building, said Mike Vorwerk with Civil Engineer Design Consultants. In addition to the foyer improvements, other improvements would be made to the facade and parking lot. The preliminary development plan reduces the impervious area by 0.1 acre.

Sunset Hills police open investigation into daycare over report of child abuse/neglect

Sunset Hills police responded to a report of child abuse and/or neglect at a daycare Tuesday morning, a claim that has so far been unsubstantiated. The Sunset Hills Police Department responded at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, to a daycare facility in the 4300 block of South Lindbergh Boulevard for a report of child abuse and/or child neglect. Police did not name the daycare. At the time the Police Department sent out a press release about the call just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, those claims were unsubstantiated, the department said. Sunset Hills police are working with the Missouri Department of Children and Family Services to conduct a “thorough investigation,” Sgt. Jeff Senior said in a news release.
