July 19, 2021 Los Angeles Lakers forward Kostas Antetokonmpo, Giannis’ younger brother, has finally made a decision on his future with the Lakers and the NBA. As of earlier this week, the 23-year-old is officially taking his talents to France as he joins LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne on a two-year deal. Kostas was initially linked to a possible return to his homeland as he was poised to sign a four-year contract with Olympiacos BS in Greece. But it seems that Kostas’ plane from LAX took a slight detour and will be landing in Lyon, France. He will join another former NBA champion in Tony Parker, who is currently the team’s majority owner.
