Elderly couple suffer serious injuries after crash in Carmarthen A third person also sustained injuries Updated An elderly couple have been taken to a Cardiff hospital after a serious head-on crash in Carmarthen. The collision happened shortly before 9pm on Tuesday night in the Llangunnor area on the outskirts of the town centre. Police, firefighters, ambulance crews and a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter were all called to the scene of the collision - which happened on Llangunnor Road between the roundabout next to The Range store and the turning for Penymorfa Lane. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that three people were medically trapped and had to be freed by fire crews using specialist cutting equipment
