Hyderabad: The Congress party on Friday slammed the State Election Commission and the TRS Govt for announcing the schedule for holding elections to two municipal corporations and five municipalities.
“It looks ridiculous that the SEC has announced the poll schedule within two hours after the Education Department announced cancellation of SSC exams and postponement of intermediate exams in view of Covid-19 situation. This dual approach by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his government is quite puzzling. Former Minister & ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the decision of the TRS Government of converting regular employees of Mecca Masjid and Royal Mosque to outsourcing staff and demanded that the orders be withdrawn immediately.
The Minorities Welfare Department has issued a circular converting the regular jobs of as many as 30 employees of two historic mosques - Mecca Masjid and Royal Mosque, Public Gardens into outsourcing or contract with effect from March 31, 2021. This circular has created unrest among employees, their families and common Muslims, in general. This circular should be withdrawn immediately, he demanded in an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday.

Hyderabad, January 24: Former Minister & ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has strongly condemned the arrest of activists of various organisations and individuals who tried to visit the Secretariat to offer prayers at the two mosques, Masjid-e-Hashmi and Masjid-e-Dafatir Mohammedia, which were illegally demolished by TRS Government in July last year.

Kamareddy, January 11: Former Minister & ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir demanded that the BJP Government at the Centre repeal the anti-farmers laws to protect the interest of farming community in the country.
Addressing a massive dharna at Kamareddy District Collectorate on Monday, Shabbir Ali accused the BJP Government of for displaying adament attitude towards farmers by not considering their demands although their agitation entered 47th day today. Lakhs of farmers are protesting on Delhi borders for the last one-and-a-half months despite severe coldwave and rain.
